We're considering tiered fees in the future for people who reach monthly sales levels, and for Premium Members, but we'd like to see this spread onto the site before making those changes so we can accurately project where the breaks for the different levels should be placed. Anyone who chooses to use the widget will be providing us valuable insight and data that we will use to mold the future of the widget and the forthcoming Portal/search ability that will allow people to browse and discover artists who are offering commissions. For those who don't see the value in the widget, deviants still have the ability to provide commissions via the same methods they've always had.

6. I requested a Commission, but the artist still hasn't accepted or rejected it.

I decided to try out the system by requesting a small commission. A week has passed since that time and I haven't heard anything from the artist. Normally, I wouldn't even be worrying about it this early. I understand some artists need more time to work on things, but since you've created only a 7 day time period for a refund, it does have me concerned about future orders. Losing a small amount of points is one thing, but I would not feel confident making larger purchases if there is not more time to make a claim if an artist does not come through. The part about the artist needing to approve the refund also has me baffled...so, if someone feels like taking points but not doing any work, they can just reject all the refund requests from people they don't come through for? I just don't get it.
I'm not saying the person I'm waiting on will do this, as I don't know them and they very well may complete it soon. But I am saying that in general, it kind of puts customers in an uncomfortable position with the way the system is currently set up. We don't want to be pushy with the artists and we want to give them enough time to do the work, yet we also want some protection ourselves to be sure we either get what we paid for, and are guaranteed a refund of our points if the artist does not do the work at all. Please reconsider pushing the refund date up to at least 14 days for commission work. It's not the same as buying premium content that already exists and is instantly received...commissions need more time for the refund process.
