I'm almost speechless.  These are just beautiful.  I would love to use one of these photos on my book cover.  What do I need to do?

These are really amazing photos! Very very beautiful and expressive! <3

One thing is, danlev, I don't agree with your description. It's like saying that he needed 4 years to learn use photoshop or other photo manipulation program.
Yes, anyone who wants to be a great photographer has to learn about aspects of photography and the equipment too but I hardly believe that u have to emphasize these 4 years like that.  I think the most important thing is talent and patience and I really see that Florent Courty has that (just imagining how long he waited to take a photo of those lightnings.... :O_o:), so please chose ur words more carefully next time.
And thank you for sharing such amazing artist and art with us (:

except that this are heavily processed photos with numerous light/color modifications which do not reflect the original "beauty of nature" at all. beautiful photos, but the message that it tries to shove on us (nature is beautiful) gets easily lost with that much alterations on the original photo of the scenery.

I invite you to spend multiple days in mountains watching sunrises and sunsets in all sorts of conditions, so you will see by yourself what is heavy ;)

I know nature can be awesome and refreshing. Just... it's not like the over-saturation of these photos. The world has simpler shadows, colors and transparencies. I don't mean to look down to your work: these photos ARE absolutely magnificent. But they seem kinda artificial... I had to be sincere here. Hope you don't mind :)
FlorentCourty Featured By Owner Jan 15, 2014
You are not obliged to say they are magnificent to criticize my works if you don't think so, your first comment was different.
But I don't mind anyway, I replied to you because I don't want people to believe what you imply in your first com : that we can't find what I take in Nature, as if it was heavily altered and faked.
My works reflects only very short moments, and the ones I find the most impressives, so of course the world has simpler shadows most of the time ! But it is not what I show here. It's often "the best part of the best sunset of the month" (to speak about what looks the more surreal).
Then, each of us has its own interpretation of things. I try to capture the greater scenes I live, the way I lived them, which means that my very personnal vision imbues the image from its planning to its processing. This is what makes artist are artists.
Even considering all this, my red skies were actually red skies, my burning mists were actually mists burning in the sun, my strong lights on the ground at sunset were actually minutes (or seconds) of mad light, and so on. So we can't say it's not the beauty of nature at all.
My sentence which has been quoted here means that I personnally think that my images are closer to the " REAL WORLD " than grey walls and stinky subways... now beauty in nature can wear infinite forms, more subtle, I show the ones I estimate to be the most striking ones, to make people be curious, and find back some fantasy feeling directly captured in something that really occurred.
I don't mind honest critiques. Actually, thanks for letting me an opportunity to explain a bit more how do I think.

wow you love life in how Faith is the assured expectation of things hoped for, the evident demonstration of realities though not beheld For by means of this the men of old times had witness borne to them By faith we perceive that the systems of things were put in order by God’s word, so that what is beheld has come to be out of things that do not appear. was life created earth love good.
