Literary Compass - Vol. 7Welcome
If one is looking for Literature, you don't need to go far on deviantART. There is a large community of writers and a plethora of work to peruse. Featuring  genres such as fantasy, mystery, horror, and romance, one would be hard-pressed to find an area not covered. However, due to the nature of the site, shorter works tend to get more focus. It's easier to quickly read a poem or a short story, and thus many of the feature articles on dA showcase those works. However, there are many novelists and serial writers among the mix, oftentimes fighting an uphill battle to have their works seen and appreciated.
With that in mind, I have started an article to spotlight some of those artists and their literary-worlds. The works covered in this feature will exclusively be long-form fiction such as novels, trilogies, etc., or fiction serials.

A Fool's IdeaWelcome once again to Film in Progress! This is a series of articles I am doing on works in progress by filmmakers and animators. Sometimes in our line of work we don't have a lot to show for a long time because lets be honest, production time for film or animation takes an awful long time so it's difficult to show people what you're working on. So what I hope to achieve in these series of articles is to give you a chance to talk about something you're working on, and if you have stills and other pieces of development work you can show it off here as well!

Please tell us a little bit about yourself.
I graduated from university with a BA honour in illustration and animation, having worked at a different university for a few years, I am now a fulltime freelance illustrator and animator.
When did you start animating?
When I was a young teen I reckon! During that time of my life gif animations really took off all over the Internet and so many young animators at that age got ahold of free gif animation compilers, so although I can't give an exact age, I was pretty young at the time!

When I was about 15/16 years old, one of my friends from school did graphics design work in his own time and uploaded it here. He w

My late Auntie Betty was the first person who inspired me to try fantasy art.
What topics are you passionate about?
Animal cruelty, the Northern Irish troubles and the Environment.
What makes you the happiest?
Seeing a painting develop into something you can be proud of, My family and taking care of my pets.

:iconclefairykid:  How did you get started in Pixel Art? Was it your first medium or did you work with something different before discovering it?
:iconmrbeastdesign: My dream was always to make PC games. 7 years ago (at the age of 12) I started to make modifications for the game Clonk, since I needed graphics for those modifications I first learned image manipulation with GIMP and later 3D graphics with Blender. These skills were purely practical at first, though they made me interested in Art more. 2 years ago at the age of 16 I tried pixel-art with the idea in the back of the mind that it could be useful for future game projects (by that time I already became proficient at C++ so the idea of coding my own game wasn't far away). :blahblah:

When i suddenly noticed all that was going on in the BG I had to watch it twice to see if I had missed anything. Turns out I noticed just as it started (though I missed something in the beginning that looks like an air formation)

Nice effects and it was interesting =)
