Being a Premium Member just got sweeter! Multi-Submit and Scheduled Submit, two often-requested features that will make submitting to deviantART even easier, have just been launched to Premium Members!

Multi-Submit

Screen Shot 2013-05-14 at 11.07.21 AM by danlev

Multi-submit is a tabbed interface built into the Submit page which allows you to upload and submit multiple deviations at once.

There are several ways to upload multiple files:
  • Drag and drop several files onto the Submit page at once.
  • Select several files from your Sta.sh by opening the "Select file from Sta.sh" modal and dragging to select, or by using control+click (command+click, for Mac users) to highlight several files at once.
  • Submit an entire stack from your Sta.sh by hovering over a stack and clicking Submit!
You can then change settings for each one, and then save them for later or submit them to your gallery. In addition, the Submit page will retain the order and settings of any files uploaded, even if you navigate away from the page itself, which means that you can complete the submission process at your convenience, from anywhere you go, without having to keep track of what you were planning to submit or when.

Scheduled Submit

Screen Shot 2013-05-30 at 10.42.33 AM by wreckling

Scheduled Submit lets you upload and prepare submissions, then set a time and date for them to be publicly posted to deviantART. For example, this Journal was scheduled to publish at 2PM. For deviants with a busy schedule, or for those who are likely to upload and submit multiple deviations at once, this gives them the opportunity to prepare and present their work to their watchers without having to worry about flooding Message Centers or risking works going unnoticed.

Once you select and confirm your date and time, that file is squared away! The tab will turn orange and will remain on the Submit page each time you come back to it until it is submitted. If you want to change things prior to its submission, you can click Cancel on the orange bar and then make your changes.

This Journal was scheduled.

How many submissions can you schedule at once? It there a limit?
Or you are unable to scheldule more than (let's say) three submissions?

The multi-Submit was something that many wanted :). And I'm glad they decided to implement it =D

I have a question. Also will be available to free users?. Always be for users with Premium Membership?

Scheduled submit doesn't seem to work as it should, it's not automatically uploading on the time it says it would. I had a deviation set to auto update @8AM on a saturday, after that, I check on the exact date and time and it's still in the stash. A bug fix might be in order.

Very useful updates! I might end up using these in the future. I can see it working well for webcomic users who work up a buffer (something I can never do buuuut nevertheless!)

And I admit I'm also pleased with more useful premium membership-only updates as this. That has been my major dislike for dA ever since v6 (I think or v5) gave nonpms the thumbnail privilege only we once had. It made premiums pointless for awhile. I know people complain all the time about new features being PM only, but hey, not everything can be free! So I'm happy it's getting closer to being back like before where it's worth the sub. I still enjoy mine. :)

Scheduled submission : I gave it a try and it perfectly worked  thank you !

I think as in here [link] that scheduled submission is more useful for premium members, while multi would also be great for non-premium members...

Also, what about that idea you had some time ago, about receiving notifications each time we're mentioned ?

Sweet move on the schedules, specially useful if we have various pages of a comic made but we want them displayed weekly. But what happens when we schedule something at a certain date but our premium runs out before that date, does the scheduled deviation proceed with submitting itself at the proper date or would it freeze? The multiupload feature is very much appreciated. For once i truly congratulate on the inclusion of this one. Are you aware at least of the discontent with the More Like This feature and the please for it to be able to being turned off at least for premium members? Thanks for your time.

Although the multi/scheduled submit function IS cool (though I haven't used that part yet) I'm wondering if there's a way I can get stash to STOP saving everything I submit automatically, so that when I go to submit something else the old submission is sitting there saying "Hi you just submitted this would you like to see it again?", it's kind of annoying to have to manually close that from the submit page, especially when you're in a hurry and a few extra clicks can take time, is there anyway to get it to stop doing that?

Hmm... I'm part of some groups and judging by the number of groups and people i watch, the sheer amount of deviations i'd have to see daily would simply be overwhelming. I get that some people will publish multiple deviations per day with or without the new feature, i'm just worried that implementing the multiple submission feature will also seem tempting to other people as well and therefor get my inbox to 10k deviations in a matter of days...
The scheduled submission function seems very VERY good though so congrats on that ;) .

Amazing new adds guys ! it made me want to be a pm again, and even more !
Keep up the awesome works, and make our favorite site grow even better ! :D

I don't really mind or care about the minimum features in non-premium members though, but another new gadget for non-pm will be very nice. I don't really have any idea about what new gadget that I could recommend, and I will not ask too much either. Ah, or maybe I'm just too confused to ask more from you guys, lol.

I have a question . . .
:bulletblue: Are those ads on this site were randomized, or choosen by the admins ? I know about the site ads though. I just don't like the vulgar ads I've saw everytime I open my page. :B
Again, I don't rally mind, but it's distracting somehow. Especialy when my parents suddenly come to my room and randomly check my bookmarks hablablah~ whatever. Just, tell me.... please (?)

-Sorry for the wrong spelling, or else :B

Yah...so this is great an' all But are you guys gonna shove this feature in the faces of poor, broke members like myself Just like you do with............well..........pretty much everything else? :smoking:

Seriously.
I DONT want to see this appearing in my sta.sh or whatever. I'm broke and I really dont appreciate having meat dangled infront of my face like I can have it, just to see that It is ONLY for premium members. That kinda thing aint cool.

NICELY put it on the sta.sh page or whatever like its a note or a memo on the side of the screen instead of a POSSIBLE clickable feature like you do with everything. I cant emphasize enough how mean that is. I want to be HAPPY to invest in a site due to it's wonderful atmosphere, layout, community and staff..............not baited, teased and suckered into it.

As a beta tester I've already found these features to be really useful and really easy to use. I particularly enjoy the scheduled submit, as I tend to do a lot of my art at about the same time, which in the past meant I would either submit them all at the same time or I would end up forgetting about some of it and not submitting it at all. I can also see it helping out to get attention for your art from people in different timezones, which is something I haven't done too much with yet, but I'm sure I will end up doing so.

I don't know. It would be nice to do two or more submissions at once, but some people tend to be absent-minded with their schedule time, like me. :blushes:

I think that the journal has a good reason for the new feature, but it just doesn't interest me; I like to work and submit my deviatations one at a time and when I think they're ready to be submtted on DeviantArt.

Plus, submitting multiple devitations at once might overwhelm some watchers who want to post there comments on that partuciular art. Or maybe the artist want to submit their work at a specific time, but makes a mistake and the deviatation gets uploded at an earlier time or at a later date than what the artist wanted.

These are my concerns and thoughts on the new Multi-Schedule Submit thing. Some of these theories may not actually occur, but I've read the journal and thought about this thoroughly.

That is all I had to say. Thank you for reading. :)

Again, this is amazing. I know some users will be upset that they have to pay to use it (ie buy or get a premium membership), but so many members say there aren't enough "perks" to pay for a premium sub in the first place. This really does make it that much sweeter! I used this when it was in Beta and LOVED IT! It is great to see it rolled out to all premium members now :la:

Anyone out there know how I'm supposed to use a journal skin in my super group now I have to write the journal in Sta.shWriter please? I used to create a new skin by copy and pasting the code from a skin in my own journal area but now it won't work. The little 'I'm thinking' circle just keeps on spinning and nothing happens.
