Artist Draws Comics of Friends' Facebook Statuses~graynate is a US-based artist who illustrates his friend's Facebook statuses. Nate submitted one of his comics to Reddit last night, and it skyrocketed to the front page with over 5,000 upvotes. An hour after submitting his comic to Reddit, a user requested that he confirm his identity as being the original artist, and challenged him:"I want to believe OP. But [your account is] 0 days old. So taking today's popular AMA into consideration...draw Adam Savage laughing at a completely shaven Jamie Hyneman."Nate accepted the drawing challenge, and posted his illustration to Reddit and

CV interview with the one and only ^dekorAdum!Hello, ^dekorAdum! According to your name, you must be decorating a lot. But that has nothing to do with my question, really. My question is of a different nature. I was wondering how did you become a Chat and Forums CV? What made you want to become one? Well I always loved to help others and I received a lot of positive feedback on my submitted artworks when I rejoined dA and, of course, I met a lot of amazing people here. I just wanted to give back what I received from the community and since back then when I started my new account, I didn't have this many photos (only random ones and different kind of drawings) and I didn't know what to apply for so I picked Chat & Forums because I like to meet new people and help them and it's the best way to do it.Interesting. What exactly do you do as a CV of Chat and Forums?I usually sit in #
Another dAmn Interview! - LawraRandalaAnother dAmn Interview! is an interview series I've started up where I interview a deviant who is a regular in the dAmn/Chatroom area of deviantART, and ask them to share their initial and current opinons on that area of the site. I'd love some suggestions on how it can be improved if you have any, as well as any other questions you think should be asked. Thank you!1. When did you start using dAmn compared to how long you've been on dA?- I created my first account on December 2005, and around January 2006 I found the chatrooms... so pretty quick, I'd say. 2. Did you find yourself drawn to any chatrooms in particular when you first started using them?- For years, I went to #devart only. I found a lot of people there that I felt connected with, and it didn't even occur to me to go anywhere else. But things have changed in there, and I've started 'wandering' around, so to say. 3. Have you made any

Not So Traditional Tuesdays #4My plan is to keep the features fresh for me(and you) and maybe open a few eyes to all the different kinds of artwork that is available while browsing the deviantArt galleries. The things that make one piece of art great applies, for the most part, to other genres. A painter can learn how light and shadow fall from photography, photo-manipulators can learn about composition from a great Manga drawing, and literature can give you the inspiration to try something new or take your work to the next step. You may never try all art forms you see! You can however take what you learn from them and incorporate that into your own work. It could be the difference between stagnating and that breakthrough every artist wants to find!**WARNING:Viewing these works of art may cause giddiness, elevated heart rates, and happiness in the pants(which could lead to blindness)! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!** :thumb330
