In our continuous effort to improve the deviantART experience, we're publishing Site Updates to keep members informed and to gather feedback. Below is a list of recent changes to the site, bug fixes, and feedback that was brought up by members in the last Site Update.

What's New

The New deviantART muro Featuring Redraw
DeviantART's HTML5 drawing application, deviantART muro, now includes Redraw, allowing you to record your work as you draw. Every brush stroke, every layer, every little movement — all captured by Redraw. Save your work once you're finished and see your art come to life again in high definition playback.

The new deviantART muro also features a new look and a brand new smudge brush. Plus, your work is automatically saved to your Sta.sh, upgrading you from just 3 files slots to 2 GB of files — and 10 GB for Premium Members!

Your Feedback

  • Several members suggested features for deviantART muro including: collaborative drawing, collaborative drawing with chat/microphone, and Redraw functionality in comment drawings. From Kalina1176, godeyes, Bewinxed, HindruDenver, RageChanTheYaoiFan, and others
  • Updates to a journal skin should be applied to all journals that use a skin, rather than each journal having to be updated individually. From *shadowrx

Discuss!  Lightbulb

Last week we received some great feedback from members about the Groups widget and the messages dropdown. Here are some more discussion questions:

Group affiliates: How do you feel about the Group affiliates feature? Do you feel it is useful and provides value to Groups? Do you ever browse through Group affiliates to find related Groups?

Group member management: How do you feel about the member management panel? How would you like to see it improved? Some Group admins love to tweak every advanced setting of their Group, but some may prefer to just get a simple Group up and running with only basic customizations. Would you like to see an option of having a simple, easy to use version of the interface that removes some of the more advanced functionality?

How do you save your redraw and upload it to Youtube? A lot of people are asking this question and I can't find an answer.
