Announcing Rolled Fine Art Paper Prints

Starting immediately, deviantART is upgrading our rolled Fine Art Paper Prints to a more professional grade print process. The new and improved product will now ship with an additional 1.5" (3.81 cm) bright-white border ready to be hanged or framed! This change will not affect the way in which we currently provide Photo Prints, Canvas, or Frame Art Prints.

Your Feedback

Thanks very much for the feedback left on last week's Site Update! Here's what you had to say:

  • Many users are looking to sell comics, stories, tutorials and resources through deviantART rather than needing to do so through means off-site.
  • Buyers mentioned wanting to find Premium Content easier, either through separating free and Premium Content or through a Premium Content portal.
  • Users liked joannastar's visual suggestion about having an "I like this" button on suggestions posted to the Suggestions gallery.

Discuss!

As mentioned at the beginning of the journal, we're upgrading our rolled Fine Art Paper Prints.  However, deviantART's Shop also offers several other options for printing -- including mugs, magnets, and canvas prints.  Of these items, which do you most prefer, which could also use an upgrade, or which new products would you like to see available in the Shop?

Hello there! I was speaking with a fellow deviant recently about poems for two voices. We were wondering about formats for these poems, and we realized that the addition of the ability to add columns to blocks of text would be useful. Is this possible at all? Thanks so much for keeping this website up and running and for taking my idea into consideration!

Don't know if it's me or dA - fullview now opens with horizontal scroll bar that is implemented in the design instead of being part of the browser window - it's kinda annoying when I have to scroll down to move it.

I've had a problem that I'm also seeing in the comments.

When I look for a certain kind of pic, for example, if I typed "anime tutorials" in the search bar and click on the first pic the use the "prev/all/next" buttons, I eventually find myself seeing no anime tutorials, but rather, featured deviations! It seems to be fixed when I go to "all", then go to the next page, but it's a bug that should be fixed.

This happens with all my other searches, too. :/

I would like the ability to implement a minimum comment length on my deviations. There is almost nothing more annoying than wading through loads and loads of forty thousand comments that all say "Cool" or some cliché, overused, or otherwise terribly annoying nonconstructive comment.

As I currently rely on my phone to access this excellent website, I've realized that the mobile version of D.A is just as accessible, browser friendly and so bloody good that I'm wondering whether or not to get my laptop fixed??! I might just buy a new tablet for my desktop instead!
Yup, sounds like a plan!!

Okay, when you search something on mobile Da and you click one of the results it shows what you original thumbnail was but when you click the arrow at the bottom of the page it takes you to a completely unrelated deviation In fact I think it takes you to the daily Deviation's.
Also sometime's Mobile Da doesn't send my reply comment's though it disappears from my inbox. It also doesn't show all the art I get in my inbox.

That is all I can think of right now but please fix it. ^^ thank you.

I was browsing through deviantart and I saw a lot of misplaced Deviations
To report all of them itīll be a real pain! D:
To avoid this, it would be cool if a little text with the gallery description was added below the search engine and the browse options donīt you think?
Maybe itīll be good too to show it in the "Choose a category" option when you submit a deviation!
Because I saw drawings added in the photomanipulation category! :S
I already reported that but I there were a lot more :/

I don't know if anyone mentioned this idea... and sorry, it has nothing to do with the discussion topic...
It's about the storage. What if we could put a deviation into storage from the deviation's page too? It could be under the "edit" option. :)
I just moved some old literature into storage today, and when I navigated back to find the deviations, I thought, it could be easier and faster from the deviation page. :)

It would be really great if we could get a donation widget for groups, this would allow us to have a better workflow without points being funnelled through a third party account.

T-shirts would be AMAZING. We have mousepads and coffee mugs, and mousepads are... lame... and most things just don't look good on coffee mugs, but you can put the ugliest thing ever on a t-shirt and everybody loves it.

Prints are OK in deviantART with different very good choices. But still I'm waiting the big motivation, our artworks on T-shirts, this will be outstanding, many current T-shirt shops around the web will depend on DA and remember that. At least, making T-shirt prints are available for artists with subscription. :)

Also, I want to be able to enable Premium Content on any of my deviations, not just new ones or ones that were previously uploaded through Sta.sh!

And you should change the name of Premium Content, it's not very easy to understand without already knowing what it is.

I would like to be able to move deviations to scraps more easily, without having to go into 'edit deviation' and change the category. Just a simple "Scrap" next to the "Edit" and "Delete" buttons when viewing the deviation would be fine.

For a long time, I've wanted the ability to buy single greetings cards. So many times, I've seen a great print and thought "that would make such a great birthday card for so-and-so"... but you have to buy in packs of five. So I never buy because what would I do with the other four cards? Especially if it's something like "Happy Father's Day" - I'm not gonna give my dad the same card five years in a row and I don't have any other dads to give said card to...

Even if you had to buy five cards, but they could all be different cards, that would be better. I wouldn't mind buying a few in one go (since I have to pay for shipping anyway) but when the only option is to buy five the same, I end up not buying at all.

I have a feature suggestion - when you bring up a deviation and click on the 'submit to group' button, it should have an option to display all the groups you are a member of, instead of just recently submitted groups, or maybe have both options available. Pretty satisfied with DA overall though, thanks!

And actually, as an addition to that, Stash could do the same thing when you submit a new piece - right now they let you submit to groups you are a contributor to, but not just a member of. That would be cool too. :)

Dudeeeeeee, I'm still experiencing that terrible bug where I cannot drag-n-drop deviation thumbs to my faves from the DD channel page and bottom of the frontpage :(
I have already submitted bug report about and they said they're aware of the bug and will try to fix it, but so far no change... U_U
Is there anything I can do about it? Maybe change a browser or anything? Does this mean EVERYONE has this problem that they cannot fave DD's by drag-n-dropping? Or is it a problem occuring only for some individuals?
Either way, it is very annoying for people who often fave from thumbs and often fav DD's they like, but now I can't and I have to enter each individual deviation to fave, which is a waste because I can tell from the thumbnail if I like it or not, most of the time...
sorry fro ranting, please fix the bug, someone....
