deviantART Birthday #devart Hunt 2012!Well, it's early August again, and you all know what that means! It's time for the most epic celebration on the planet: deviantART's birthday! This year is no exception, and what's a dA birthday without an image hunt? The rules are pretty simple. Below, there are two lists: One containing a small fragment of a deviation, and one of a list of deviants in a number of various different galleries across dA. What you need to do is figure out what deviation the fragments belong to, and by extension, what deviant. For example, is part of , so the answer would be ~TorsadesPourFoi.Your mission, should you choose to accept it is to form a list of who the images belong to, in the order that the images appear in this article. Your deadline? Midnight Pacific Time, August 7th 2012. When you think you have your answers, send them, via note, to ^Astralseed before the time mentioned above. The image fragments, for your perusal:Your list of deviants:`shuttermonkey :devbuz

If there is a tie, we will go for sudden death! N.B. You will be disqualified if: a) At

DeviantART'S 12th Birthday Gameshow: Starting soonDeviantART Birthday Gameshow is starting in just FIFTEEN MINUTES!We're looking for game players to come and join in our deviantART Birthday Event! In just a short while ^3wyl and myself are hosting an interpretation of a British game show called Pointless. The idea of the game is that you have to guess the least popular answer to a multiple answers question. You will be awarded points accordingly, those with the most points will win - but you will have used pointless answers to get there! We'll have pre-judged the least popular and most popular answers by asking a panel of CVs beforehand for their responses. Want an example? Name a Film Starring Tom Cruise Okay so Mission Impossible is a really high answer and if you said that one, you'd get lots of points. Which isn't good! If you said Rain Man - you'd possibly be getting less points. But if you said something like Endless Love or Taps, then you'd be hitting on an answer tha
Another dAmn Interview! - LawraRandalaAnother dAmn Interview! is an interview series I've started up where I interview a deviant who is a regular in the dAmn/Chatroom area of deviantART, and ask them to share their initial and current opinons on that area of the site. I'd love some suggestions on how it can be improved if you have any, as well as any other questions you think should be asked. Thank you!1. When did you start using dAmn compared to how long you've been on dA?- I created my first account on December 2005, and around January 2006 I found the chatrooms... so pretty quick, I'd say. 2. Did you find yourself drawn to any chatrooms in particular when you first started using them?- For years, I went to #devart only. I found a lot of people there that I felt connected with, and it didn't even occur to me to go anywhere else. But things have changed in there, and I've started 'wandering' around, so to say. 3. Have you made any
Everyday we're CV'ingAs a Community Volunteer - I do as much or as little within the community that I feel comfortable doing. We're not pressured to do this and that, we don't even have to give a Daily Deviation every day, we choose how we promote our selected galleries/chats and forums and we're not fixed to any specific rule on how much or how little we do. But I do believe that it's important to share with you just what the community volunteers do and why we do it. More importantly it's so easy to get lost on this site full of many people - and miss out on the awesome that's going on. So I'm going to share with you exactly what the latest awesome is... Project Educate Almost every week since October last year the Community Volunteers have been working hard both independently and as part of small teams to bring You Project Educate.Project Educate is about bringing forward art forms whether they are popular or overlooked and giving

Happy Birthday Moonbeam13!Hello allToday marks a very special day for someone, and since this someone is our wonderful team leader, $Moonbeam13, we wanted to write a journal to say... HAPPY BIRTHDAY DANIE!Now a lot of you know Danie as the big chief of the Community Relations team, but I doubt half of you truly know how much of a hard worker Danie is. Not only does she have to look after us lively lot (and by “lot” have you seen how big the CV team is?!), but she works on copious behind the scenes projects on deviantART, making this place just a little bit more devious and better for all us Artists out there in the big dA community. Not only this, but she has to have a life at the same time! Now we have decided to use Danie’s birthday for three things:1. To wish her a very happy birthday (of course)2.

Hi I'm Katy and I am not very good at talking about myself . As far as my art style goes, I don't really feel that I have a particular style so to speak. I like to dabble in any and all areas of art which I possibly can and just absorb it all like a sponge. I think the style will follow eventually when I am more comfortable with the basics. What is it that attracts you to Traditional Art?Traditional art offers a lot of variety and options.
