This article marks the latest additions to the dizzy height of Senior members in our community. With just over 1000 deviants holding the highly saught after ` -- it's clearly a moment that deserves recognition.

So what does it take to become a Senior? That's a question many have asked and have never really been able to get a straight answer on. Art-for-Artists Project Stopped by dA TermsHello Deviants,

A few people may have already noticed that yesterday my commission widgets were removed by the dA Staff. This was due to the fact that this project actually violated some terms and conditions. This was unknown to me as well as a few others that I had checked with. I was sent a note to clarify what went on, and asked for permission to share it with you today to clarify any issues.

As you wander around deviantART pages, there is noticeably one art medium that invades almost every element of the site. Whether it is the deviantART galleries, journals, news section, comments, forums, chatrooms, avatars or even dA profiles, it is hard to find a spot that hasn't been infiltrated by a familiar set of small, coloured, pixel circles. The art form I am talking about is of course the emoticon and throughout the past 10 or so years they have been happily adopted by deviantART and its community.
Although emoticons can often be spotted on a wide range of other instant messengers (IMs) and social media sites, deviantART has come to house a unique branch of these miniature art pieces. Whilst the majority of these alternative sites opt for simple, predominately yellow emotes with a range of basic expressions, the art community here at dA have stretched the art form far beyond its natural boundaries and developed entirely new styles of emoticons

Self-injury, or self-harm, is the act of deliberately harming oneself physically, usually as a mechanism for expressing distress or coping in difficult situations. So, you just made an animation in gimp on a transparent background. You go to save it, check the animation for last minute fixes, and BAM! The animation looks like this!

You are probably wondering, "What did I do wrong?" or how do I fix this?". Well if this has ever happened to you and you're still wondering how to fix it, than please read the rest of this tutorial.

Note that this tutorial is only guaranteed to work in Gimp (You can get a free copy at gimp.org). This method may work in other programs, but Gimp is the only program I have that officially supports animation.

So after you have made your animation, just save it like you would normally. If you normally just press the save button, make sure to press "Save As" instead.

If you use gimp 2.8. or newer, press "Export" instead of "Save as".

So I noticed that when I try to explain certain things about chatrooms for helpees, they have no idea where is the title, topic area of the chatroom or if that even exists. I'd like to help with that.
I made a screenshot of my chatroom, cropped out certain areas and marked them with words

I'll write down some things about those areas and I'll try to include some tips as well.
So here we go.

This is a very useful thing. Why? Because instead of one million browser windows, you can have one window open and have as many connections to dAmn chatroom as you want. You can close one as well but without leaving the other rooms as well.

I am `Krissi001 and my real name is Kristina Pest. I am 23 years old and from Germany.

I joined dA almost 8 years ago, but I haven't been active the whole time. The best time started when I joined the Emoticon Community in 2008.
In 2010 I had the opportunity to be the Community Volunteer for the Emoticon Gallery.
